In a trial that began on Aug. The ads turned out to be from producers behind a website called Girls Do Porn, who were seeking women to make so-called amateur porn, a style in which fresh-faced new actresses are often paired with seasoned male performers. The trial could last a month, but no matter its outcome it will provide a rare look into a part of the industry that remains shrouded in mystery — often intentionally, by its makers. Respondents to the Craigslist ads said they were directed to innocuous websites, with pictures of clothed women, that asked for their contact information and photographs. But they did it, a number of them now say, based on the assurance, from the producers and their associates, that the videos would be distributed only on DVD outside of the United States and would never be published online.

YouPorn, one of the largest adult video sites, surveyed 24, of their female users during a one month period, and the results prove there's no shortage of ladies looking for porn. We know what we're after, and we're not messing around. One in four visitors to their site are female, according to YouPorn, and the overwhelming majority 76 percent of them are millennials. Of those surveyed, a hair over 60 percent said they watched porn weekly or a few times each month. Another 18 percent said they consumed it daily, and almost 10 percent of users said they watched it more than once a day. So how, exactly, do we go about finding what we need? Well, it seems like most of them have a few sites they visit regularly only 30 percent said they used search engines to find videos.

In court this week, a woman known as Jane Doe 1 described how the humiliation led to her abandoning her career in law and drove her to two suicide attempts. After details of the women were published on WikiPorn, with social media and in-depth personal information, a campaign of anonymous harassment began that included the films being sent to their friends and family. Since 19 August the San Diego superior court has been hearing evidence from the women, Jane Doe 1 and 21 others. They say they were told that the footage would go straight to DVD for wealthy buyers in other countries, in particular Australia and New Zealand, where the defendants come from. They say the defendants promised them that they would never go online or be sold anywhere in the US.

Heterosexual porn is predominately made for and by men, meaning it rarely caters to what women want to see. So for a lot of women that makes for uncomfortable viewing.
